Crescenza Cheese Pizza Recipe
Have you ever heard of Crescenza Cheese before? I know I have not, and so excited for this month’s Dairy MAX #QuarantineKitchenCookingClub. Pizza is a staple in our household, and now that it is cooling off in Austin, Texas, turning on the oven to make pizza is not too hot. Living in central Texas, I have definitely learned when to turn on the oven and when NOT to, to help keep the house cool in those summer months.
Before we jump into the recipe, let’s learn a bit about Crescenza Cheese! This cheese is from northern Italy and was originally made from the rich milk of cows that had just come down from the summer mountaintop grazing. It’s very creamy, with a slight tartness flavor! Big thank you to the Mozzarella Company for sending me the cheese so I can try to make pizza.

Pizza is always a household favorite with us and trying new ways to add interesting flavors has been a challenge. The Crescenza is so creamy and melts evenly and the taste with the prosciutto is perfect. Leave a comment below if you have made pizza at home and what toppings you have tried.
