Fats (also known as lipids)
One of the three main macro-nutrients in the body, alongside protein and carbohydrates, fats are an amazing source of energy! Fat also help your cells to be able process and absorb vitamins and minerals for the body, help provide thermal regulation (body temperature), provide cellular structure, and help facilitate hormonal balance.
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup red onion (diced)
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro leaves (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1 Roma tomato (diced)
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- Serve with Tortilla Chips
- In a mixing bowl, use a fork to mash up avocados to desired consistency;
- Stir in onion, lime juice, cilantro, salt, tomato, and chili powder;
- Serve and Enjoy!
