Grease Live has taken the American Broadway by storm. As the 70’s movie hit gets its remake, the cast takes in a lot of expectations. The leading man Danny Zuko originally played by John Travolta, will be brought back in stage by Aaron Tveit for the Grease Live.
Grease Live aired on January 31, 2016. And Aaron Tveit made preparations for a musical this big even before he aced the role. So what are his fitness routine, diet, and secret to success?
On an interview for Men’s Fitness, Tveit mentioned a few incites about his previous role in the series Graceland, and how this could have impacted his next roles – especially on Grease Live.
On the interview, he mentioned that he is a golf player since childhood. His father has always brought to the golf field and ever since he loved the game. Golf is a sport of patience and precision – and this gave him a boost in his future roles in entertainment.
At the same time, he mentions that he does cross-fit. Until now, he is able to do cross-fit routines to keep his health in shape. And whenever he can, he does so to keep physically fit for the roles – especially on the Graceland series wherein he has to keep up with a few fight scenes that needs physical skills.
The surprising thing about him is his that he cooks his own food – mentioning that almost 90% of his food intake is from what he cooks. The reason behind is that he has an allergy which requires him to be picky with his food.
When asked about his beard (from his Graceland role), he mentions that he has to get past the “itchy” process of growing a beard. Mentioning that he started to learn using beard moisturizers and oils to keep it clean and good-looking. But we are not able to see those beards anymore since the role of Danny Zuko needs a clean shave.
And with him being a great Broadway actor since his part on the movie Les Miserables¸ he is pretty much physically fit to sing and dance at the same time – a versatile actor of his age.
His success story – never be afraid to succeed – the words of advice from his father that brought him to the great center stage of Grease Live.
