COPD

COPD ("Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease") is a disease that not only affects the lungs but can also have detrimental effects to the rest of the body.

The purpose of nutrition care is to provide adequate energy and knowledge to decrease the risk of extreme weight loss, prevent malnutrition, and improve pulmonary status.

Managing COPD means facing unique nutrition challenges, but with the appropriate food choices, you can help fight the exhaustion you feel. Working with a dietitian to help you plan a COPD diet will help you reach your nutrition and health goals.
