Anything with blue cheese dressing sounds like a perfect idea to me!
As a registered dietitian in Austin, Texas, I am always on the hunt for easy, fun salads that will satisfy me and provide a balanced meal. This month’s Dairy MAX Quarantine Kitchen Cooking Club, I get to play with one of my favorite cheese, BLUE CHEESE! Since I am not the cooking dietitian, I figured making blue cheese dressing would be an easier task for everyone involved!
This recipe is super creamy, tangy, and loaded with chunky blue cheese. Drizzle it over a Wedge Salad or serve it alongside some Buffalo Wings.
This month I put together some amazing goat cheese from the Mozzarella Cheese Company.
Ingredients
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup white wine vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons chopped chives
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Directions
-
In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients.
-
Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
-
Transfer to an airtight container; the dressing stores in the refrigerator for 1 week.
If you tried out this blue cheese and a steak wedge salad, I would love to hear how yours turned out. I would of course loved to have MORE blue cheese, which I might have added on top and into the dressing because blue cheese is my FAVORITE cheese of all time!
