Leslie is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with a specialty in helping those struggling with all types of disordered eating. She is also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. She earned her master’s degree in psychology from Midwestern State University.
For the past 6 years, she's worked in private practice helping those with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, family concerns, addiction, PTSD, as well as, a wide array of other mental health concerns. Previously, her background includes working with teenagers and adults in psychiatric hospitals and state correctional institutions. In these settings, she provided individual counseling services, therapeutic crisis management, and mental health groups focused on grief and loss, stress management, dialectical behavior techniques, and eating disorders.
In working with clients, it is important to address the underlying aspects of disordered eating and work as part of a team consisting of herself, the client, physicians, dietitians, and/or other specialists when appropriate. Her approach to counseling is evidence-based and empathetic; Leslie is passionate about joining my clients wherever they may be on their journey.
