Katherine O’Rourke is a registered dietitian, licensed in the state of Texas who is passionate about nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve metabolic health and how to apply these concepts to help patients improve their relationship with food, their food environment and themselves.
As a former college athlete, she is also passionate about helping athletes and has a particular interest in the female athlete triad. Katherine encourages a holistic, sustainable and research based approach to nutrition and has strong interests in eating disorders, diabetes and athletic performance.
She graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a degree in Biochemistry and from University of Michigan School of Public Health with a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Nutritional Sciences and certificate in Physical Activity and Nutrition.
Katherine is also passionate about nutrition research and spent 2 years in graduate school working in a biochemical research group studying the effects of various diets on metabolic health.
In her free time she loves mountain biking with her husband, playing field hockey on a local Austin club team and of course enjoying the local Austin food scene with friends.
